There are plenty more of the pumpkin pictures in my Flickr set if you would like to see them. I think what impressed me the most was the 3D cut-outs people had made - I had never thought to carve anything than the pumpkin shape itself. We have four pumpkins at home right now - one big one and three little ones - we will have to brainstorm some creative ideas for our carvings.
And then figure out what to do with all that pumpkin - I don't just want to throw it away!

You could bake the pumpkins, scoop out the yummy stuff and freeze it in sandwich bags (ie: 1 or ½cup portions). You could use it in soups, bread, pies, cookies, muffins etc etc... mmmm <3

But am I the only one who is a little concerned about the open flame tea lights on hay bales in a crowd? Must be the old farm girl in me that learned at a young age that flames and hay don't mix.
I have never seen pumpkins carved like that! It's like ice sculpture but in vegetable form! How cool is that???
That's AWESOME!! My kids loved the Death Star.
Wonder if R'll be up for a road trip next year - I'd love to see those up close!
