Koolaid Collection, part 2

Mango Koolaid Posted by Picasa

Ooh... look what I found at the grocery store last night! Andrew thinks it hilarious that I am collecting packets of Koolaid with no intention of using them until next summer. Teri - I hope you are ready for this! This is a very golden - almost peachy - yellow colour.

Well then, I'll have to mail you a package! I bought 3 - two for dyeing and one to drink since I had never seen mango koolaid before!

Another non-toxic dyeing option is using Wilton Icing Dyes (or some other paste food coloring). The colors turn out a lot more saturated, and it actually turns out to be much cheaper! Half a teaspoon, a lot of water, and a bit of vinegar (I didn't measure-- maybe a fifth or so of a container?) and presto! New yarn.

You can get Wilton stuff at the Micheal's on 202, or the party store in the Fairfax shopping center.
