WiP It Wednesday

I first saw Silk Garden Lite socks on Lolly's blog and knew right away that I wanted to try to knit a pair of my own. The funny thing about Silk Garden Lite and the way it is skeined - unless you have a swatch right in front of you, you don't really have a clear idea of all the colours involved. I started these socks on Sunday morning and am quite pleased at how far along they have come:

Now, I have to say that I chose this skein because of the lime green and charcoal grey (which I have yet to get to on the skein), having no clue that there was orange and purple involved as well! They are going to make very warm socks, however ;)

So interesting that you don't know what colors your going to get!

I think kitty was comfortable. He keep sitting next to the case in the hopes I'll open it again.

I never thought about using silk garden lite for socks - I'm making a shawl out of it right now, and you're right, you never can tell what the colors are going to be until you wind it.

Those socks look great. I have two skeins of SG Lite waiting to be knit into similar socks. I wonder what mysterious colors are waiting for me.
