Happy 1000th Blogpost To Me!

(and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone else!)

DSCN0001

Lucky and Piper *not* getting in trouble - although it looks like something is brewing.

Okay, here are the details of my 1000th blogpost contest:

In the Comments section, give the URL of your favourite blog entry of mine, and tell me why you liked it. But there is a catch - you can't list an URL that someone else has already provided.  Please leave all contest entries here and not on Facebook.  So, your contest entry should look something like this:

http://wildpeculiarjoy.blogspot.com/2007/12/wipd-it-already-wednesday-but-it-was.html

I liked this blogpost because of the beautiful yarn I dyed. I wish I had time to do that again.

Easy enough, right? Now onto the prize - once all the entries are in, I will have a random drawing, and the winner will get a $20 Amazon.com gift certificate. I will close the contest on Sunday, November 27th at 12 noon EST. Good luck - and I can't wait to see the entries!

ETA: I have to approve all blog comments, so if someone claims an entry first and you haven't seen it in the comments section, I will let you know (if I know how to contact you) that you need to pick another entry.

It's super easy to be first! I love this post because Willow wrestling with Piper for a picture is adorable!

I know this is kind of silly, but I like the post about zombies, because I feel the exact same way. I *hate* zombies. They're mindless and scary. you can't out-think them because they don't think. No reasoning with them, either. The rule around here is "NO ZOMBIES." No discussing, no joking, just no. Bring on the witches, vampires, hunters!

PS - I stopped reading your blog for awhile because I felt voyeuristic, but figured the invite on the Feb/March babes forum on Raverly was a good reason to come back :-)

Congrats on your 1000th post! That's awesome and worth celebrating.

My favorite post since I started reading your blog was this one:

I loved the little dress you knit for Piper and your socks. I am inspired by your sock knitting. I really need to learn how to knit socks! Maybe that should be my goal for 2012.

Congrats on your 1000th blogpost!

My favorite post is
http://wildpeculiarjoy.blogspot.com/2011/11/why-yes-that-is-piece-of-salmon.html
The reasons I chose that one: because first of all it made me smile after a long and not too pleasant day.
Plus I really like the idea that "you have to try something prepared three different ways before you can say you don't like it and don't have to eat it anymore". I think I will do it just the same (- for now we're just about to start solids here in a couple weeks).

I love all your posts about going back home (I can't believe this trip was in 2009!!) - makes me a little homesick but I love reading about your trips and seeing pictures of familiar places :-)

Oh wow, 1000!!!

I must say that I love reading your blog, but this one just made me laugh. When we starting Ferberizing, I peeked in on Rosalyn once to find her in almost the exact same pose. Too funny. They just don't want to give in to sleep, but are too tired to keep fighting!

Because I'm a sucker for second-siblings esp. ones where there's a decent age gap! ;-)

This was my favorite- Piper's baptism. Of course, because I love God, but it's just such a beautiful thing...AND that she fit into Willow's baptismal gown too. I love doing the big sister hand me down stuff. SO SWEET!

From my sister, Teri (who didn't realize I wasn't at work all last week and sent her entry there):

Okay Joey.. what to do… I can’t comment on your blog because the word/letter verification won’t reveal itself to me! And I don’t know how to fix it. Can I enter via email??

http://wildpeculiarjoy.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-trip-to-great-white-north-day-1.html this is my favourite post – I think it’s because it’s just you and me in Ottawa and there is food, knitting and BEER!!!

Can you comment for me?
